Anybody done this before?
Just looking at the cleaning kit you can get - Looks straight forward enough.
Are there noticable results?

Been put of trying as too much oil can cause problems apparently
Follow the instructions to the letter and you'll be fine mate. I did one on my last car and had no problems

Ooops!
did mine a while back spray on cleaner leave to soak in then wash out and leave to dry poss overnight i then just oiled the pleats on the underside only..hth
As John says, follow the instructions perfectly and you'll have no problems at all, I've been using K&N filters on cars for years now (had them on my last 4 or 5 cars) and have never had a single issue cleaning and re-oiling them.
The problem is when people put too much oil on them and the oil then gets sucked into the MAF causing issues as long as you don't over oil the filter after cleaning, you'll be fine.

did mine ok . as said just dont put to much oil on it . never noticed a difference but im sure it is doing its job .. khalid
As above, used them for years. Just follow instructions and it's fine.
Cleaned many a K&N... i prefer to use a paper filter in the motor while i'm cleaning the dirty filter that way it can be done over night.
Wash well as directed by the instruction & then leave overnight in a dry warm place to dry out, when re greasing just don't over do it & again leave over night for it to soak in well.
