hey all, i havnt used aircon since last year..... probley around september/oct. - worked perfect at the time

now its not working, no colder than the normal air.

does it need regassing, or doed not using it for a prolonged period cause other issues?

You should use your air con weekly as the seals dry out and will leak .

Regas. Due to you not using it the gas has escaped through dry seals. Its in the manual to run it for 20 min's a month iirc to help prevent this.

Don't use one of the DIY death kit cans though.

Get someone to use a proper machine.

A DIY can won't tell you that there is a leak, nor will it seal any leaks, despite suggesting it might.

i know that most people with a brain would not ever allow there car need kiwk fit, but they use a automatic machine, all they do it stick the connectors on and it costs about 50 quid,
when i go out for a regular good "italian" tune up i stick the air con on the way back not the best use of fuel but i like the air con working when its roasting in the car or for demisting in the winter.

What I tell people is use it or lose it.

I pretty much use my aircon all year round. As helps demist the car in the winter and keeps nice and cool In the summer
