    Default Thinking of selling up

    Hi all
had my vec 1.9 cdti sri a little while now and thinking of selling her. I dont really want to because I have put alot of money into her thinking I would be keeping her for years, But the missus wont drive it because she is a newish driver and says its too big for her and shes scared that if she scuffed a wheel i'd go mad at her etc...
She has a golf gti which im happy to drive around in but to be honest we dont really drive either car that much as i have a work van during the week.
so im thinking of selling at a loss so somebody else can appreciate her and use her daily and putting the money on a bit of debt and start saving for a deposit for a house as ive always wanted to own my own home. It would save paying out 2 lots of tax/mot and insurance which inturn could be monthly money thats put away.
Just thought i'd share my thoughts and add a pic of when i got her and to what she looks like now. Ive enjoyed the modding loads

Looks a mighty fine motor. Its amazing how a few simple mods completely change the look of the car.

Houses before cars mate all the time. They can both be money pits but one will still have value at the end of the day. Once you have home for your family sorted and money frees up you can play with cars again. Just my vew.

Im not sure yet or what they go for? obviously as you can see ive put alot of money into it as I thought I was going to have it for years but im under no allusion im going to get what it stands me in at.... I will have a look around and see what they go for, Im hoping it will go above the average price as it doesnt need anything mechanical done to it and people will see that and that its well looked after, even the tyres still have 7mm all round etc

just a shame you wont get you mod money back. yhats the thing with mods- they are for the present owner and no one takes that into account when buying it afterwards.

someone will get an absolute bargain!!!!!!!! lovely looking car!!!

Thanks guys...... tbh I dont want to sell it as i love it and i always wanted a sri cdti, but i know its not practical for us to have 2 cars that dont really get used. when i do sell it i dont think i could watch it drive off down the road.
