3.2 Engines

Guys, I have the 3.2 engine Signum Design with the full Irmscher Kit and Suspension. It was fitted by Vauxhall and was a demo car before I bought it. I am trying to find out what can be done to increase what is already a fast car, to make it even better. Does anyone have any info or am I just not going to be lucky. I would also like to say that this is an excellent Forum and look forward to being part of it

I too have a Signum Design 3.2 V6 with the Irmscher bits, and have already been asking Courtenays about upgrades. They have nothing. New engine and the ECU needs to be cracked first. Not even lightened flywheel was available as it completly different to previous V6 engines.
If you find anything let us know.

Nice sound system you have. I keep promising myself something better but never get round to it. I have badgered all the UK tuning Houses and have started on the German ones as I am in Hamburg every other week. I think the breakthrough will have to come from Europe as the Courtenays of this world do not seem interested. I also keep thinking about a NOS system but always wonder if the engine will stand it . I will definitely let the forum know If I come up with anything.

Ah yes, I like my music. Same head unit, just subs and amp added. Sounds great.
Would be interested in what you find in Germany. The Harwich to Cuxhaven ferry not too far from me, so always possible. Also a mate suggested recently the Americian side as the 3.2 V6 originated from the Chevrolet family. Perhaps something to plug and play could be available via post. Have not had time to research this option yet though.

Zorst and filter etc you can do.
Stuff will come,just have to wait for more to come into circulation and demand for it.
Courtenay last year were working on a super charger for vec b 2.5 and thats oldish.
So patience I`m afaid a little on this one.

Know what your saying, and even Courtenays said the same thing. Each show I go to the stand and ask again. The guy probably sick of me by now
Anyhow the Signum a great car, so intend to keep it for a few years.

And I had to laugh. You mentioned filter - ordered 1 today!

ive been told that there is a mod for the 3.2 .... well its a serious one .... at £3k it should be !!!!!!


Want to make your 3.2 into a 3.6 ??? need to find where but apparently it changes the stroke of the pistons (larger), thus increasing the size of the bore without a re-bore

lotus carlton size ... just need the twin turbos now

otherwise .. air filter , plugs , ht leads , octain booster ( with a re-map ) oh and a re-map ( if they do one yet )

I have done the Plugs, Filter, Leads and Zorst (Irmscher four port). 3 big ones might upset "Er Indoors". Re-map has been approved though, just need to get someone to do it??
