Retro fit trip computer to Club spec Vec C?

the club only has the basic 2 line display..

That may be the case ... dont know the min req for the display.

I know its possible via tech2 because i first looked at a used
Vectra with no trip computer, and the dealer said he could
fix it via tech2. That car on the other hand had ECC, so i got
the 3 line display. Might been trickier otherwise.

It would seem that you're right.... I went into the Stealers today and asked about retrofitting the trip computer and they said that the trip computer runs off a separate ecu and that they wouldn't have any way to enable it, even if I bought a three line display . Oh well, case closed.

hi, im in the middle of tryin to do the same job. got an sxi 1.8 with a basic two line display. am looking for another display and hopefully vx will be able to tech 2 it?!

The trip computer can be fixed with tech2, so yes its possible.

A pucka tech2 unit as used by a GM dealer will set you back something like £3 to £4 grand (or that's what I was told anyway).

well, got the car back. Unfortunatley I bought the wrong screen off ebay for it but they said it would only be a 20 minute job if i had the right one. I priced the correct screen up for it whilst i was there and I was quoted nearly £400 for one! so back to ebay I go or local scrappy.
I now have a large screen out of an SRI spec Vectra pre facelift model that i need to get rid of.

Ive not had time to find another screen yet! i will start looking after xmas i think. at least we know it is possible!
