Did you speak to a bloke called Nigel?? Cos I did and at the end of it, it turned out that they have never remapped a Z20NET engine! He was getting the engine in the Astra\Zafira GSI mixed up with ours!
Plus when I asked him how it would be done (this was before finding out about the engine stuff) it would appear that it is mostly guess work on their half i.e they adjust the same parameters as they do in other cars quote " they are all pretty much the same " This I disagree with. Thats why I am now looking into other possible tuning companies at the mo. I am not saying that they are no good as I wanted them to remap my 2.0T, just that it made me think twice about letting them loose on my bmotor!

Jeez - after reading that extra bit of info above (on top of your previous post), I wouldn't let them anywhere near my engine/car!! I'm sure they've done decent enough jobs on the Z20LET but it is certainly not 'the same' as the Z20NET. For a start, it's Trionic 8 ECU (different to the Z20LET) plus numerous other differences.

As for "they are pretty much all the same"......

Wise man joules, go for someone/something that has actually remapped a Z20NET!

There is another thread somewhere that talks about the differences of an
    Edition 100.

Lets keep this thread on the topic it started out on please.

Nice, quite a few extra cosmetic bit n bobs then!!

Ok lads lets try and find an alternative to the BSR upgrade. Not that I don't like the idea, as it does sound easy and very versatile. I just cannot believe that there are so few tuning options out for 2.0T owners!

If we all search the net for tuning companies that deal with either Vauxhall or saab or even just remapping we could compare our findings and see what is the best option out of all (for each individual). Anyone who has found anything which may be of interest could post either a link or a brief breakdown so that anyone else interested can follow up and report if they decide to go for an upgrade. I know it sounds a bit like homework but I'm hoping that collectively we can source out the best way forward for MORE POWER!!!!

I'll be interested to hear what you manage to find Joules, and anyone else. Before I bought my BSR I did just what you've suggested - searched on the internet and rang places etc. My experience was pretty much the same as yours with Angel. I'd ask about remapping a 2.0T in a Signum/Vectra C and they'd say 'Yes, we can do that, done lots of them'. Then when I clarified that it was the Z20NET engine it was then a case of 'Oh, no we haven't done one of them - don't think we can do it. Well 'don't think' didn't fill me with confidence so they were crossed off the list. This was places such as BBC and Van Aaken BTW.

I can see your reason for looking down the Saab route BUT just because someone does a remap for the 2.0T on the Saab 9-3, doesn't mean that it will work in the Vec C/Signum. I know they are the same engine and both have Trionic 8 BUT there is a difference between them. A company may do a remap for the Saab 9-3 2.0T but they also need to do one for the Vx version as well. I rang a couple of Saab places (names have slipped my mind) and they didn't do a version that would work with Vx.

That was back in February so things 'may' have changed. I'd be really interested to hear what anyone finds. Not because I'm interested in changing. I like my BSR remap, I like it very much and I'm not going to change to anything else that may now be around - but just interested to hear what, if anything, is now available for the Z20 NET.
