yes mate wasnt chucking down thow but yes floor was wet and i think there something called accrection or summink they was on the car when i bought it all 4 brand new
rain on floor and cheap buget tyres = a no-no, it will spin out... Exactly the same on my car, i can feel when the steering is about to go light and drive within the limits of the tyres.. My advice to you is if you drive like you do which pushs the tyres get shot of them bugets and put some winter tyres on or some michellin or other proper branded tyres...
I can feel it on mine, and it only takes a little squeeze of the throttle especially on the torquey cdti engine to send it sliding expecially when the steering wheel is turned to an angle

never happend before mate and iv drove in worse weather then today thats why it seems odd but thanks for the advice so what sort of money are decnet tyres
just went out double check they are acceiera 215/50 googel it they only £59 quid no wonder
same size and make as mine mate, they can very easily slip around corners i've found... Even if you put 2 proper ones on the front just to keep you pointing in the right direction...
Not sure on price mate not looked into them, just needed 2 cheap tyres on the quick but i know what i was letting myself in for...

thanks dude very much i still think theres more to it thow but your help was usefull thanks
Would agree the Acceleras do not like the wet.
I have 19" 235/35's on the VXR rims (1.9CDti) and they do not seem to be able to clear water from the tread and appear to aqua plane easily. Pretty good in the dry however and they are budget.
I would get it in to a garage as soon as you can buddy.. Maybe a suspension or steering problem.. Bottom arm bush could have gone track rod end the list goes on these could all cause probs.. Glad your ok..
Just thinking out loud here but i have heard (can't remember where) that if your rear upper control arms are shot it makes the rear of the car do all sorts of funny things as well. Not sure how true that is but just trying to fire some ideas your way
Hope you get it sorted
