    Default Windscreen washer

    Hey all..

    Vectra C 02 plate....

The windscreen washers front and back have decided to stop working... thought at first it was just fluid so topped it up as you do but still no joy.. if you hold the lever to the on position long enough you get a very slight spray but it only just touches the windscreen? have also noticed the sound of the motor working has got quite loud compared to before...

Motor need replacing or is there any other known faults? can't see much else it can be tbh...

Clean the filter out 20 min job easy peasy, its in the How2's.
Does anyone know why my washers take a couple of seconds to work after pulling the stork? does my head in as it smears dirt all over my screen before it cleans it!

Mine was like this when I bought the car. Cleaned out the filter and no joy. Got a new motor and it worked a dream. Can't remember how much it cost, but pretty sure it was fairly cheap, and it was from a main dealer

Mine does this too. I've heard there's a one-way valve somewhere in the line? I've never bothered looking though. I just put up with it

Is there one filter for front or back, or a seperate filter for each? My front works fine, my back doesnt at all!

as everyone else, had it on mine, followed how2 on here, filter was completely covered in green gunk, easy job and they were like turning on a hose pipe afterwards (well all most)

you'll get to the bottle from the passenger front wheel. remove a few screws from the inner wheel arch and you will see the the washer pump pull it out and then clean the rubber gromet it pushes into. good luck
