Climate control help

On my new f/l I've got climate control and can't figure out how to switch on the a/c. I've turned the temp down to low but can't hear the a/c pump kicking in or feel very cold air. Am I doing something wrong or is it a poss fault?

Press the big knob in and It opens up a menu. It's all in the manual.

And the fan has to be on #1 setting.

Once the big knob is pushed and the menu opens, turn the big knob until A/C is highlighted, then press big knob and a "x" appears in the A/C square box to the right.

Turn big knob so that "return" is highlighted, press knob again and this takes you back to normal screen. You'll notice that before when the A/C was off, ECO was displayed. With A/C on, you get nothing, just a blank space - good old VX .
