New Vectra to me as I used to have a half cambus Vectra 2.0 Turbo before I bought this 2007 Sri model. What is the light in the middle bottom of the dash clocks? It looks like a steering wheel

Power steering mate
Cool, so we have a light on the dash for the power steering. Thats a first for me lol. Cheers
From the handbook that comes with the car, page 103:
Electro-hydraulic power assisted steering.
Fault in electro-hydraulic power assisted steering system. The power assisted steering may have failed. The vehicle can be steered but considerably more force is required. Contact a workshop for assistance.
Fairly sure the pre-facelift has the same warning light. I guess you never had a fault with it on that one though!
Just checked my pre-facelift 2004 handbook, and it's there too (Page 37) - but it appears in the rev counter display rather than having a specific light.
It looks like on the half-CANBUS the light only comes on if there's a fault. But on the full-CANBUS it comes on with the other critical warning lights when you turn the ignition on (so you can check the bulb works). Which is probably why you've noticed it as it's different.
By the way, the owner's handbook is readily available for download from Vauxhall: http://www.vauxhall.co.uk/content/da...nual_Jul07.pdf
That's for a 2007 model, but applies to pretty much any facelift model.
Pre-facelift manual is no longer on Vauxhall's site. But you can get it from here: http://vectra-c.swi.hu/VectraManual.pdf
(I found those about a week before I bought my Vectra by typing 'vectra owners manual download' into Google)
mine comes on when I boot it,i can see evidence of a leak of green fluid by the air filter box
Power steering pump is hidden in the inner wheel arch below the air filter on yours.
thank you
