    confused Middle centre box?

    Hi all
    Got my car booked in tomo for the centre box to come out.now how loud do u think it will be? Has anyone else had this done? Btw have had the car de-catted and sport backbox on :-) car is a Sri 150 1.9 cdti 2006
    Also the garage said they don't know how loud it could be aswell

    Hmm well I had it out just now sounds very tiny bit better but still not the grunt I want :-(

    on my diesel mate i had nothing at all just pipe front to back the a pipe with tip on each side that sounded nice

    Was that on a 1.9 though m8? Really don't know what to do now :-/ don't know if to risk buying a diff back box

    2.0 dti mate get the lot off trust me changing a back box on a diesel wont make a change to the sound

    Wont it affect the new MOT laws apparently coming in next year tho ?

    This is one mod I am looking at too, but dont want to do it and then fail MOT.

    Well my cat has been cut open gutted out and welded shut again. Hmm dunno if putting a straight though.. As all boxes are out and still not grunting

    If you want an agressive boy racer noise that will give you a head ache on the motorway, it's all down to the exit at the back. Remove the back box and get an exhaust company to make you up some varied sizes of exits with flanges to fit over that pipe. Then just try them out. I have nothing in the exhaust at all and with my quads, it's no louder than standard but with a single large exit, it was like hell was errupting from the engine.

    Just spoke to a m8 and he said just take the backbox off then see what it sounds like then I will know if it's the sports backbox I just got.
