I have a dedicated blueray player and a Sky+hd pvr lol. But my xbox is great for GAMES lol.
Comes to something when all you can say about your games console is it plays movies LMAO.
Cant wait to play the NEW COD Blackops maps VERY SOON...Or the gears of war 3 beta tomorrow.
Blueray ahh yes i vaguely remember that, Since it's inception on the PS3 in 2007 I have personally only ever watched one Blueray film on my ps3's, and that was Casino Royale, and the only reason i watched that was simply because Sony sent it to me (and everyone who bought a PS3 upon the PS3's release in 2007) in the hope i'd think it was stunning and i'd be foolish enough to then pay £20(+) for each film, how wrong they were!! Bluray means nothing to me as a gamer either, it's certainly not a deal breaker when it comes to gaming, simply because as good as everyone says the PS3 & Blueray are most PS3 games still only output in 720p and rely on your TV to upscale, whereas the old dinosaur x360 upscales and outputs from 480i upto 1920x1080p
ATEOTD as long as you enjoy the games you play thats all that matters as believe it or not the PS3 and X360 are games consoles are they not?
Started playing that on Wednesday, got my Beta Tester Medal so no need to bother playing it too often now , quite like the fact that it tells you in the lobbies how many players there are both in your local area (I guess they mean country) and worldwide, So far i've only seen it rise to around 1200'ish players, I expect that will shoot up once the flood gates open though..

LOL, the never ending War of Consoles.
Did I see new Operation Flashpoint on the horizon Pete, as I remember rightly you were impressed with the last one?
Yeah I know Steve, and it'll all start all over again around 2014'ish when the next consoles come out..
Red River is out now, it came out on Thursday, I really liked the last one (Dragons Rising) as it's more of a tactical shooter than the likes of BFBC, CoD MoH etc. It's a bit better than Dragons Rising and on the hardest difficulty it can be annoying but it is still a good game.. I think it took me around 15hrs to complete, and if you're an achievement / trophy whore than you'll stand a good chance of getting almost all of them for this game as there's no multiplayer, just drop in drop out co-op and fire team missions, the only cheevo/trophy that may be a bit hard to get is the one for healing a codemasters dev or healing someone that has healed a codemasters dev..
@Markone, I like bulletstorm, it's manic fun when played with mates, but i only got the normal edition, I got my GoW3 beta code direct from Xbox UK PR as they (MGS) are publishing GoW3..
Happy Gaming
See this earlier, may be of interest to PS3 owners/gamers..
Sony unable to update gamers as PSN remains offline
Sony has admitted it is unable to update PlayStation 3 owners on when the PlayStation Network will be back online or give any clarity as to why the online service has been unavailable for almost a week.
The company took PSN offline last Wednesday, admitting over the holiday period that the measure was due to "external forces."
Sony is in the process of "re-building" the system, a move it acknowledges is time consuming and frustrating for players that want to engage in any multiplayer gaming, download or purchase new content or use any of the other online services it offers.
"I know you are waiting for additional information on when PlayStation Network and Qriocity services will be online. Unfortunately, I don't have an update or timeframe to share at this point in time," said senior director of corporate communications Patrick Seybold on the playstation blog.
"As we previously noted, this is a time intensive process and we're working to get them back online quickly. We'll keep you updated with information as it becomes available. We once again thank you for your patience," he added.
The PSN troubles are deeply embarrassing for Sony, likely to strain relationships with content providers and upset PlayStation 3 gamers.
While Sony is passing limited information to the user, theories are emerging as to why the service - which boasts 75 million registered accounts - is currently down.
The latest high-profile rumour suggests a recent custom firmware update allowed users to download content from the PlayStation Network using fake credit card information.
Sony has not revealed whether any secure PSN account information such as credit card details have been accessed by hackers.
Activist group Anonymous, which said recently that it would step up attacks on Sony, has denied any involvement with the current problems.
