I would have disconnected it tbh but may be worth a shot, just resets stuff I think, plus i find it better when workin on electrical stuff
yeah as you say dont think you can check the pairing without tech2, but i dont know what the symptoms of an unpaired set, might not get as far as the logo. try the battery, just make sure you have a code and stuff if you need one, not sure on your car
if i disconnect the battery and try again will disionnecting the battery affect anything else? i've not got any codes apart from the radio one, will anything else be needed? i dont want to ****** anything up if i disconnect and reconnect the battery. thanks
It didnt on mine but I dont know how different our cars are, plenty of people on here disconnect their batteries without issues would be worth double checking to make sure, people swap out batterie and stuff all the time with no problems and like you say you have your code.
Hi, just disconnected the battery and re-fitting the new unit and connected the battery again - but no effect whatsoever.
any other suggestions?

if your old unit goes back in an works I would say somethin is up with your new headunit. I assume its deffo suitable for your car? dont know much about the preface setup sorry
Sorry I don't know anyone else, I normally fit my own stuff. Sorry I cant be of any help, done evrythin I would do, like you say its hooked up fine. Try another thread with your symptoms sure someone will know on here.
