new problem with cruize control

Hi all, my cruize control won't stay on, it does work after about 4 or 5 attempts, but switches itself off after anything from 2 - 30 seconds. HELP!

Plenty of threads on this already. Do a search on 'cruise control' and you'll find all you need to know. Best case scenario dirty contacts on the ABS plug or on the stalk, worse case scenario the CIM's on it's way out.
