No Dash Lights!?!?!?!

Got in the car this morning, all ok to work. then had to go out, unlocked the car but didn't get in it straight away. Opened the door and the odimeter didn't lght up, turned the key, no lights what so ever apart from the EM light!

Radio still worked, windows still worked, car started, still nothing, rev counter not working!!! messed about for a bit and then pressed the trip resent button, everything back on! PHEW!! Anyone else had this?

Also, when I had the chance, tried to replicate but nothing. However, on unlocking the car and not opening the doors, the car locked itself again, is this normal? It didn't do this when the dash lights went.

Just starting to find things out about the car as this is my first Vectra-C.

Yes, once during the really cold weather. Not had it since, touch wood. Same as you, all started working again after I pressed the trip reset. IIRC, someone on here mentioned something about checking the ABS multiplug under the bonnet.

Yes, normal. Mentioned in the handbook somewhere.

Thanks for your help chap. Been looking this evening now I've had the chance and yep would seem that there are variations on a theme as to what does and does not work but generally all have the same solution, ABS Plug, CIM or fuese/loose plugs.

Glad the central locking thing is normal too.
