miles per tank

just wondering how many miles per tank you all get on a long run

i recently drove from wick in the scottish highlands to ardrie/coatbridge area i covered 585 miles and used 3/4 a tank of derv with my trip computer telling me i still had 200 miles worth in the tank.that means i should have been able to get back to perth again. 785 miles from one tank of derv. can anyone do better than this ??

Motorway wise looking at around 300 miles to 50 litres in the 2.8 V6

Just done 740 miles on one tank since I filled up yesterday lunchtime, and still has about 30 miles left showing on the range computer, so should be enough to get me to town to fill up tomorrow. The range also goes down alot quicker on the 2nd half of a tank full.

Christ! Last tank only got me 275 miles. That was £55. Just put in £69 worth and so far miles per gallons saying 26. Disgraceful for a 2.0T but I'm solely doing small journeys at the moment. Big journeys get me to 33-35mpg, but I can't keep to speed limits on motorways. Each car in front of me feels like a target I should be trying to beat lol.

best was 680 miles a few years ago. was astonished, and haven't got as much as that since.

I tend to compare my 1.9CDTI 150 with the 2.0T I had before. I average 550 miles a tank, as opposed to 350 average in the 2.0T. Could get more if I drove more with economy in mind.
