That's a popular scam. The drafts are forgeries and they clear initially into your account. It can take the bank days, even weeks, for them to discover they are forgeries and when they do, they take the money back out of your account. So as well as losing your car, you'd have been a further £4,000 out of pocket!!!

Just had a phone call as I'm typing this - from the same company that rang this morning! Boy, they must be gluttons for punishment!! I told them they'd rang me already - she insisted they hadn't. I said "Oh yes you have, I've got caller ID and it's the same number that rang me at 11:58 today - I'm looking at the numbers on my Caller ID display" She quickly hung up - funny that. They're very keen to get your postcode, that's all that they seem to want (or all that any of them have ever asked me for so far). Wonder what the next stage is if you give them it? (Not that I'm going to!)

I told them to send me £2920 for the Jeep (advertised at £3k) and they could deliver it to the buyer themselves.
They told me it doesn't work that way, strangely enough when I pointed out it does as far as I am concerned they went away.
