    Default Well, it's back

Picked my car up from the dealers today after having a new turbo, wastegate, actuator and various pipes fitted.
Jumped in it, started it up and immediately the dash lit up with low coolant.
Went back in, they apologised and topped it up.
Car drove really nicely, far smoother and seemed to accelerate a little quicker as well.
On the way home I decided to drop the temp in the cabin as it was warming up a bit. The Climate system made a strange gurgling noise and issued forth warm air!
No cooling effect whatsoever. It's my guess they had to remove a pipe or two to work on the engine and haven't topped up the CC with gas. Unbelievable. They've only had the car two weeks FFS.
Now I have to drive back 8am monday morning to get in the queue first to get it gassed.
    Bl00dy garages.

Could be aircon compressor failure to warn you mate. Or there is air in the system.

Just rang them to discuss the lack of air con.
They have denied that there was anything that they did which could have affected it.
"Bring it in Friday afternoon, we'll have a look and let you know."
They are starting to test my patience.

Tell them to f*ck off, they always deny they could of done anything to effect this. If draining down the coolant system then yes they could of effected it. Dropping a spanner on the engine could of effected it.

Ring up and ask for the managing director and explain you are bringing your car in now and you expect a courtesy car until your one is properly finished. Not half hearted like last time. If he won't then say you will be in Friday with a solicitors letter.

    Well the saga continues.
Some of you may remeber the issue of the car intermittently losing power and the dealer not being able to diagnose the problem as it wasn't storing any fault codes.

Today I had a near miss on the M25 when it cut out again.

I spoke to the service manager at Hutchins Vauxhall in a polite but firm manner and he remembered me complaining about this before. He assured me he would ring VX and come back to me.

Well knock me down with a feather he has just returned my call. He has explained the fault to VX who have recommended replacing the fuel injection pump, the injectors and the ECR? valve.

He has booked me a courtesey car, ordered the parts and the car is in Tues and Weds to be done. He's offered his apologies and assured me that the car will be absolutely perfect when it is returned.

With the way he spoke to me today and his actions he has restored my faith in the garage and their concern for the customer. Provided everything is done correctly I will be a happy bunny.
The warranty runs out in a couple of weeks and I will have had a new turbo, wastegate, actuator, intercooler, pipes, fuel pump, injectors and valve.

    That's a few quids worth!

All those replacement parts before it has reached 51k miles.
Don't know if I'll keep it until it reaches 100k as per the original plan now!

    Hi Nigel,

I'd be suprised if Hutchins didn't do their best to sort your car out, they probably have one of the best reputations as a dealer in the area, never heard a bad word spoken about them to be honest.

Lets hope they get you sorted mate.

all that stuff with the turbo was done on my car before i bought, the next recall is the middle seat belt in rear, but only if it was made in a certain country. it tends to lock up and not release.. is great having a bud working for Vx.
