5w30 fully synth.

It is the recommended oil for all Vec-C engines.

Is this the same oil as the petrol Astra engine which i have im sure that is 5/30 fully synthetic.?

Neil Im in Warrington and have new sealed 5ltr Mobil 1 0/w40 fully synthetic - I purchased 4 x 5 ltr thinking id do loads of oil changes .... so far 0. £20 if you want one, its about the best oil you can get, a 0 grade oil flows like water when cold so full protection from start up.

Almost. According to the handbook -

Petrol engines should have GM-LL-A-025
Diesel engines should have GM-LL-B-025
