Without any warning the car has started to smoke
Looks to me like it could be the Turbo which i find quite strange as the car has only done 51,000 miles and not been abused
Im guessing the seals might have gone inside the turbo.
Anyone back this up?

Does it just do this when you start the car up or does this white smoke go away after a couple of seconds?
Doesn't look blue like smoke from a turbo would (burning oil) would, looks white, like water vapour on a cold morning?
It does it when driving and it aint white smoke
if its blue smoke and it does it when you drive as youve a;lready mentioned
then it wont be the turbo, your looking more like valve stem oil seals have
gone hard or ya piston rings, you will only get blue smoke when oil is getting
burnt and like ive already said valve stem oil seals, piston rings etc,i cant
understand why its burning oil if its only done 51k but suppose its possible.
have you let the car tick over like in the pic and smelt the smoke to see if it
is burnt or a condensation type of smell.
Turbos only tend to smoke when slowing down in gear not touching the loud pedal or when revved hard unless they are totally fubared, this doesn't happen over night either.
When I said it does it when I drive I meant to say its only when de-celerating or when the engine is started again.
It smells of fuel/oil maybe?
I will get it looked at, not by a Vxll dealer as they are crap in my area and will only have a look if its booked in!
Few local garages around withy good reutations so will try them first.
If I am right about the turbo then how much am I looking at for repair/replacement or even an upgrade?
Unless before it was running on 15-40 or something thick to stop it smoking when they sold it? I guess you put in 5w30 as thats the correct oil.
