keep us informed as i get the same took it to vauxhall and they couldnt find a fault only advise that on the early vec c's the abs plug needs re wiring with another plug as the old one fails,there is an uprated plug that they use

done a bit of research and i think the car sign with the spanner going verticaly through it which comes on with the ignition but dissapears on start up is a stored fault. if it stays on there is a problem!
im going to leave it a few weeks without getting it tested to see if it does dissapear as the car runs as normal

turns out it was a stored fault. wrong transponder key used.
my mate cleared it & the lighs gone.
as big sig said if it goes out its a stored fault.
i called into vauxhall a day before it was done. to be told it was a service light. lieing basterds
