Need urgent help with a diesel leak

Over the last 2 weeks noticed a bit of a diesel smell and have clocked up some fair mileage in past 2 weeks (2278 miles)

Today parked up and somebody noticed a pool of diesel dripping from the plastic bottom tray underneath the engine. Upon looking I also noticed the underneath of the car is soaked in diesel.

I would normally throw it in a garage but I,m desperate for the car and after my brother passing away last Friday I,ve been shooting across to the parents every other day (140mile round trip) and really can,t do without the motor as been helping sort out arrangements

I,ve removed the plastic engine cover to see if there are any leaks from the injector area but nothing. I can see wetness on the front of the plastic stone guard tray and see it dripping off there but that is it. Been wondering why I,ve been using 1/4 tank evey 50 odd miles

Any ideas or advise would be greatly appreicated

Problem fixed new copper washer on the outlet side of the fuel pump
