Thats my windscreen cracked too lol. I'm blaming it on hot weather + very cold air con (i love that fridge feeling)
Does anyone know the windscreen excess for Adrian Flux? And who do they use for fitting?

sorry to hear bout your screen. i think you can go to anyone for a windscreen mate. they claim it back from the insurance company. aslong as its not stupidly expensive. with regards to the excess it depends on your policy. pull it out & have a check
another bit of advice dont know if it works but when i have my aircon on i set it to only blow through the dash & footwell vents so the ice cold air isnt blowing directly on the screen.
Keeps me in a job but sickening all the same. Before you ask ....No I'm not going round breaking peoples windows for work, lol
They will have an authorised company who you will have to use, a quick phone call and they should sort you out.
Cheers mate, it's just lazyness to go and get my docs lol
As for the air con it was set onto the windsreen at 6am this morning and then when I jumped into the car at 6 tonight (yeah I work 12 hour shifts ) I just turned the settings to cold and pressed the ac button. Normally I would have it on the face vents.
But at the end of the day thats what insurance is for
Why not upgrade you windscreen since you need a replacement now, The vec C has a solar reflective screen available that relfects heat away from the glass, The don't get hot at all sitting in the sun all day. Just ask for a heat reflective glass. the only downside is it only comes with a tinted band across the top and has a purple haze on cloudy days (lol I rhymed) a bit like the renault and peugeot windscreens. Just an option for you and they're only a couple of quid more expensive.

They have a cut out for external antennas to be fitted, where the shaded area is near the rear view mirror at the top. It's the only part that isn't uv coated. If you have a decent new satnav then you'll not have any problems. I've used garmin xt on my phone before and never lost a signal.
