thanks for that guys took about 3 hours all in all cleaning & polishing, i got arthritis in me shoulder & fingers so suffering now but was worth it looks well nice cheers Ralph

just a heads up to eveyone thinking of washing there car today,remember that this volcanic ash is extremerly abrasive so dont wipe the ash off with a dry cloth or anything else for that matter , if you can just use a hose pipe to wash off the ash.
But saying that it has also been noted that with some of these ash clouds
when the ash has been mixed with water and left, water marks have been found which are impossible to remove this is due to the sulphur that is carried in the dust and when mixed with water/rain turn,s to an acid.
