    Default Blu ray players

    im quite interested in buying a blu ray player are these as good as they are made out to be? also as my tv has only one hdmi plug which is being used by the sky hd box how would i get round this

    Buy a HDMI splitter mate, its what i use, i have 3 things running into my TV from it,
    If your due an upgrade on your phone then go to CPW, get a PS3 as part of your contract

    As above i use my PS3 as the Blueray player

    You can get a ps3 for £250 now including a game

    Sell the game for £30 and then it ll only cost you £220

    Simple answer? Yes, they are.

    The price difference between the cheapest and more expensive models is basically faster boot up/disc load, more functions, better upscaling, quieter operation and better looking (though looks are subjective!).

    As your TV only has one HDMI socket, I'm guessing it's not that new and could be only "HD ready" (720p). So, the answer is to buy a nice new one! Or, you could get an HDMI splitter either manual, one with remote or fully automatic.

    The picture is only half the story, the other important concern is how you're plugging the blu-ray player into your home cinema system - probably either optical or co-axial, or even 6-channel audio. You don't have one? Get one! You need at least 5.1 surround sound to get the full experience. Something along these lines, though you can get much cheaper ones.

    This is what i have and its great http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/samsung...53221-pdt.html not that its a big feature but it has ethernet with youtube etc built in. also has ipod cradle etc

    i have a sony bravia hd tv its 1080p its a couple of years old now but has a fantastic picture when used with the sky hd box. i also have a sony home cinema system which also has a fantastic picture this also has 5.1 surround sound. the blu player i want is also a sony unit so how would i connect the blu ray player to the home cinema unit
