Can anyone recommend a reliable breakdown recovery company, other than the AA and RAC. Im going to take some out for my other car but don’t fancy paying nearly £100 for it like the big guys want.

iam with morethan
was a excellent price plus is european cover as well
Not sure if they still trade as, but we used to deal with the company that had a blue logo and yellow stars on it, think it was Euro Assistance, but they used to pay hundreds in cab fares to get ppl home, while they took the car to be repaired.
I use norwich union on mine and autonational on Larisa,s.
auto national are extremely cheap, ie around £30 for rescue and recovery to anywhere in the country but id never heard of them so have been a bit wary
They use local garages that have recovery trucks and the local garage will do ( or not ) the repair. That way it keeps the cost down. Being local they are normally quick on the scene.Originally Posted by Andy

I wouldn't worry about them. I going to use them when my Network Q runs out in September.
Would recommend Norwich Union Direct. Me and the missus, 2 named cars for any drivers,me and the missus covered driving or passenger in any other car, home start and recovery.About £75.Had a problem with my veccy B starter packed in outside the house.RAC turned up 15 minutes later and said they do most of NU's breakdowns.Diagnosed the fault and as evening said they would come back next day or whatever time to suit me to tow car to my required garage.Could have towed me then but car would have been sat outside the garage overnight.Well impressed.
