What does this button do???????????

I have got the 2 button interior light in my vectra one turns the light on and then the other one is a round circle with a line in it, when i press this button it doesnt do anything, its the same on my mates astra could anybody tell me what it does

I think it switches it off permanently - use it then open the door & see if it comes on

The button with the circle/line disables the interior ultrasonic sensors of the alarm.

Press it before locking the car if you have to leave a person or animal in the car, or leave a windows slightly open, to prevent false alarms.

is has nothing to do with alarmsensor.

nothing to do with the alarm sensors, thats the alarm button on the dash itself, the one you're on about does disable the interior lights, if you have your doors or boot open for a long time etc
