Radio code question

I've just had a handsfree kit installed in my car but when the engineer has refitted the CCR 2006 its asked for a code.
It was my understanding that he shouldnt need one if he only disconnected it, but that obviously isnt the case.

Do I need to order a car pass to get the code? I may have the code but not certain as I've not had the car long.

If so how is much is a car pass and how long does it take to get from vaux?

If you disconect the battery. The code will be "lost" so it will need to be re-entered.
The car pass is about the size of a credit card. It should be with the handbook. If not then with the relivent details you can get another from a VX dealer for about £20.

No need to reply guys, this is all sorted.

Just rung the dealer the previous owner bought the car from and they had the car pass.

Only full canbus networked cars don't need a code to be entered after a power interuption.

The CCR 2006 was only fitted to half canbus Vauxhalls.
