3.2 crankshaft

Does anyone know the going rate for a second hand 3.2 crankshaft ? I knackered mine, I can get it reground but I was wondering what they go for 2nd hand?

to be honest i wouldnt bother , the price you will pay for the crankshaft wont come close to the price you are going to have to pay to have it fitted along with all the extra parts you will need like crankshaft journal shell bearings , big end shell bearing , gasket sets , oil , filters etc

and to fit it the whole engine and gearbox will have to be removed

oh and while your at it and its all apart you will be best off changing timing belt , clutch , clutch slave cylinder etc etc !!!!!


sorry to be the bearer of bad news but youd be better off trying to get a whole new engine fron a salvage car

You don't seem to be having much luck with this, I think its quite rare for the 3.2 cranks to appear second hand as they tend to be complete with block etc.

This is the crankshaft out of my knackered engine, Ive already replaced the engine but was planning over time to get the crank lightend/balanced and fit it with forged pistons. Plans to super charge it could be a possibility and a decent crank and pistons would be nice.
