Default Going to 'Facelift' the Freelander

As we have decided to keep our Freelander 2 HSE for another 18 months or so, I have decided to give it a bit of a make over. We had had it since August 2007 when it was 6 months old, so I figured a freshen up wouldn't hurt.

At present she looks like this :-

As it has the black textured bottom half, the 2010 Freelander 2 HSE has an all colour coded body.

So I have ordered the four door lower panels and wing bottoms, a complete new rear bumper and the front bumper will be re-painted as it has some stone chips on after 33000 miles.

So it should look like this when it's done, although it should look nicer with the 19's, side steps etc that mine already has.

The Mrs was wondering what the hell I was doing, fair point as it is really her daily drive!

Easy justification though, she said how much was it going to cost, so I said about £900 for all the parts inc painting and fitting.

Oh, she said, thats better than what it would cost to buy a new Freelander 2 and if it stops you getting bored, then get it done!

What do you reckon, should freshen it up don't you think?

Hopefully around 9ish, or as soon as possible after that so they've got the whole day. It's quite a trek cross country after I leave the M6, but traffic shouldn't be too much of an issue.

I cleaned the car fully today inside and out, but i have a sneakign suspicion it won't be clean when I get there...

If you come off the M6 at Stoke and go down the A50, you should hit Marshall's in just over an hour from that point. Well an hour and a half with traffic.

That's the route I was planning on - looking about 2 1/2 to 3 hours then...

That's an early start for me in the morning...
