Default 1.9 CDTI (150) Sport mode?

    Hi guys,

Can anyone explain to me exactly what this does? Its the first 1.9 i've had with it on (and i love it) It actually feels similar to a mapped car when nipping round town, but obviously nothing like when driven properly.

I was also wondering, how would this react with the EDS map when it goes on? (hope im in right section)

Just, really intregued by it all, never had it before!

    Cheers

    Mike

i think the sport's button set's the throttle responce to be a bit sharper and stiffen's up the suspension if it has that setting..

Mike, are you refering to the Sport button on the dash, on on an Auto box?

If you have the Sport button on the dash (factory fitted of course) then you will have the IDS suspension which stiffens up the suspension, sharpens the throttle response and weights the steering.

Regarding the re-map, it means that you can have two settings, circa 150bhp with the button off and 180/190bhp with the sport button on.

The ECU can't hold two maps as commonally beleived, they install the re-map and when the Sport button is OFF, it limits the throttle travel (electronically) which gives near on 150bhp.

When the Sport button is pressed, it allows full electronic throttle travel giving max power and torque.
