    Angry Flippin brakes

Hi guy's, changing these arb bushes is getting out of control, here's my run down of problems.
    1. went to change rear bushes and drop links only to discover rear disc's and pads were shot although the car was stopping fine. so i have fitted a new set yesterday. jobs done
    2. i decided to "check" the fronts seeing the rears were knackered, front disc's didn't look great but a decent amount of meat on the pads so i thought i clean it all up seeing i replaced the back. Took the calipers off and the pads literally fell to bits. That was a bummer now i need disc's and pads for the front too.
    3. while checking the fronts i noticed the inner rubber gaitors were split in fact the drivers side was in two half's, so now i have one of the drive shafts out on the bench awaiting new boots.

now if all that wasn't a pain in the hoop, i have never experienced disc's that have REFUSED to come of the hubs i had to BATTER them off with a big hammer and in the process smacked me finger and now got a great heaving blood blister.

I hope everyone else has had a better weekend

Could be worse - I spent ten minutes bashing a disc with a hammer only to discover the attachment screw was still in place...

I had fun and games with the Mrs' rear discs and pads this weekend.

Those Torx head bolts are the daftest thing ever and were ridiculously tight! Theres barely any room on the bolt head to get the E socket on far enough, too!

The discs were stuck on and took a bit of 'persuasion' to come off, lol.

The whole lot looked as if it had never been off. (Its a 53 plate with 83k on the clock)

lol yes, i did wonder if i was losing my marbles and had not taken the retaining screw out, but just a whole load of rust build up behind the disc. Off now though i took some hold, the back brakes were binding slightly with the build up of corrosion in the holes where the slider pins goes through behind the rubber bush things, now the rears spin nicley, so happy there.
