After some initial difficulty in finding the car park, involving several circuits of the Trafford Centre, and the obligatory visit to Starbucks, the first meeting of vectra-c.com converged. First arrivals were Drinky and Eric S, but within half an hour, (with the exeption of Alex, who didn't turn up until LAST!) we had grown in number, with a final excellent turnout of 10 Vectra's and Bruce's lonely Signum.

A pleasant couple of hours were spent in admiring each others cars, getting introduced, and swapping ideas and plans for future mods.

Finally, the vehicles were 'artistically' arranged under Ian's expert guidance, to allow a photo session, preserving our first meet for posterity.

After the majority had gone home, Drinky and I, pac archer and Big Phil headed off to the Trafford Centre for tea, where Big Phil entertained us with his mammoth consumption of two quarter pounders with cheese, one double cheese burger, large fries and a huge drink!!!

It was really great to put faces to names see the cars 'in the metal', and many thanks go out to all those who turned out on a slightly overcast and windy day (although by the time we left after tea, the heavens had opened - great timing!!) to make the first Vectra-c.com meeting such a success. Many thanks to the good people at the Trafford Centre for making the car park available - we treated it with great respect ad resisted the temptation to partake in donuts, 1/4 mile sprints, burnouts and other such manly displays of horsepower!!!

With this kind of support, I am sure that we will go from strength to strength, and will be giving the 'big boys' a run for their money at future shows.

All the best to you all

Mrs Drinky (Louise)
