    Default Rear brake pad wear

Discovered a wierd problem with my rear brakes today, changed the rear pads, the passanger side ones were knackerd, no pad life left at all but the drivers still had a decent bit of pad left, anyone know why this is? And do i have a serious problem that i should get sorted?

    Cheers

Caliper knackered? I just had to have my rear caliper replaced, on the passenger side also, as it jammed on and we were unable to wind it back.

Sounds as though one side is stuck on or the other side is stuck off bud

Does that mean the piston inside the caliper is knackerd?

However the pads on the rear were absolutely bare, nothing there. Had just got the car and hadn't noticed (scary). I suspect them being so low didn't help in my case!

Basically, yeah. Calipers aren't too expensive though. Didn't you have any problems winding the piston back in?

I'd just keep an eye on them then mate, especially if the breaking feels fine. May even be worth taking it to an mot test station and paying to get the back brakes tested on the rollers

Just take it for an MOT test, they'll check it over as they would for the test, if it passes without issue, you've got an extra 2 months.
