P242F Error Codes

Last night my car went into limp mode, after reading the ECU I had the good old EGR Error code, a P2279 and P242F (75). The garage has replaced my EGR as the warranty company paid for this then not long after on the drive home the temperature went up to 90 and the spanner light came on, previously only the Engine Light came on. So on getting home I read the ECU to find 2 error codes, P242F (75) and P242F (58).

Has anyone any ideas what else this could be as its booked back in at the garage on Tuesday, normal temp for the car is around 80 - 85 not normal for it to go up to 90 and its the CDTi 150.

Any help much appreciated.

Hi Big Knox, thanks for that, I had read that one but it says that the EGR fixed it, I have just replaced it with a brand new one and got the error Couldn't find any leaks but will have to see what the garage find

The DPF started to regenerate so let it finish and gave the car a good blast, problems have gone away for now. Just need to get the fiat gaskets and hopefully fix the issue once and for all

Mine threw up the P2279 when the DPF became blocked.
