Any bit in particular?
Nope, just the full set up with parts named if possible. Trying to get an idea for how all the parts connect and look as im planning in getting a bit more involved in the maintenance of my car
Key:
1) Rear axle body
2) Additional link, upper
3) Damping rubber for rear spring, top
4) Rear spring
5) Bump stop and damping rubber, lower
6) Transverse link, lower (aluminium)
7) Stub axle with wheel bearing unit, brake disc, brake caliper
8) Trailing link with damping bushing and trailing link bracket on vehicle underbody
9) Shock absorber
10) Additional link, lower
11) Bracket for stabiliser mounting
12) Stabiliser (aka anti-roll bar)
i found this one
.
Can someone please advise at the labour time to replace each item 9; nearside shock absorber, offside shock absorber
Also part numbers for a 2005 3.0 V6 CDTi with standard SRi suspension
an hour labour tops mate. i done my own a couple weeks ago, both sides in 30mins two bolts top one and bottom one on each side
I am after the actual VX labour rates, probably from TIS
What can take the "average joe" 0.5 hours is typically charged for a minimum 1.0 hours by VX
I need to get my nearside rear replaced, as it has clearly failed, so both rears will be replaced
Getting some quotes tomorrow
Sadly can't claim on the AA Brekadown warranty, unless I can come with some kind of excuse, policy wording "An AA patrol must attend to the breakdown"
Perhaps park after work on Tuesday, then phone them up "There is a large amount of oil at the back of the car, I need it examined before I proceed with my journey"

Two quotes from dealerships, £290 and £295, in effect £150 per side, obviously both sides would be replaced
I make that about £70 and 1.5 hours labour per side
