The part you might not what you want to hear, but unless you are hitting the track and need extra cooling, Stick with a good set of Vauxhall discs, they look nice yes but won't do a lot to your braking, and the 285's are not wonderful as it is. For 200 quid you can get a set of 314's, fresh seals and set of Vauxhall discs and pads. and if you get lucky on prices might even get a set of braided hoses in as well.

But if you really do want to go the direction , Mtec, Brembo and Black Diamond always seem popular, and if you want to go to town on the pads Ferodo ds2500 get great reviews, just have to bed them in properly.

The grooved and drilled do make a slight difference if you do long journeys as I do but not an amazing difference, try a brake fluid change first, you'll be surprised how fresh brake fluid can reduce your stopping distance

10% off from Mtec website, if no performance gain they still look good, do it...

No, stick with OEM Vx unless you are upgrading your disks/brakes

See I have them fitted and there is a slight difference so no, they are not a waste of money, obviously not as good as bigger brakes but hey, performance on a budget!
