Received a parking ticket but wrong detail

Just got a parking ticket for parking in a bay with no pass or what ever, however the ticket gives my reg and yes it is silver but also says it a vectra, But it is not a vectra it is a Signum.

Do i have a case because they have issued a ticket for the wrong model veichle ?

i believe that traffic wardens now take a photo of the vehicle at the scene to provide evidence. i would guess it would be put down to the warden not knowing the difference between a vec and a siggy.

I would say its worth trying, it certainly wouldn't stand up in a court of law. If they spell your name wrong you can walk, never mind getting your name completely wrong. Is your debadged?

Was this on a public highway or private land?
Is the vehicle registration mark given correctly?

Even if the vehicle make, model, and colour are wrong, a court will accept the case providing the basic details are correct
In this case a Silver Vectra looking vehicle
Many people have difficulty telling similar vehicles apart, especially if they are unbranded

As for the parking ticket, if issued by a private company on private land then it is not a parking ticket and should not even state this on the ticket issued
It is nothing more than a demand for money for no reason other than demanding money, and has no case in law

Even better if you live in Scotland, as this is deemed as extortion and can actually result in a counter claim

1 the ticket was issued but the link i posted above
2 it was on the Gym carpark were a few offices have some spaces which i parked in but i would imagine they are for there parking which they were closed
3 and yes the vechile reg is given corectly buy it states a vectra estate which it is a signum
