    Default Signum Suspension Recommendations

    Calling all Siggy 2.8 owners!

I've been thinking about it for a while and decided I don't like the ride on mine, it just seems a but wallowy for my liking.

I was thinking of getting a set of Eibachs and dropping it since this will make the car look a little better and hopefully give me a bit more feedback in the corners. Problem is though, I'm not as young as I used to be and I don't want to feel my teeth rattle every time I hit a small bump in the road.

What do you guys that have dropped your Signums think? Is the ride pretty harsh or is it just as comfortable after the mod?

I was thinking about getting the whole spring & strut set but I can't really stretch the budget that far at this time of year. Should I wait until I have the cash to do them both?

I'm struggling to find what is the correct kit for the 2.8 too. Most of the places I look don't seem to have a kit for the 2.8, can I just use the Veccy VXR estate kit as I'm guessing it'll be pretty close.

    Any advice appreciated.

ive got the design model which has the sports suspension so you could
go that way and get the suspension from a design model

it is lot firmer than the elite and feels ok to me

The 53 Siggy Elite I had and gave to the missus had sports suspension so some models must have had it fitted as an extra. It is a lot more stable than my 57 Vectra Estate Elite which seems to have standard suspension and does wallow on corners or twisty country lanes that I travel along to get home. The wifes Siggy is a lot more stable along the lanes

i fitted the Eibach springs with Bilstein B4 shocks, its a popular combination for members on here and far better than the standard shocks and springs combo.. well worth it imho...

eibachs and B4s also give a much more supple ride than the design suspension which to my mind felt a lot more crashy almost like the spring rates were too high, particularly on the front, that could have been due to older shocks though. Oh and replace the drop links too they make a massive difference!

I have just had delivered SPAX adjustable all round for my 2.2 Design.
Cost just over 400 but did not want to replace all at differant times.
No idea what they are like till I install them.
    Are all the designs lower?
Thought I heard that before but when I asked it could not be answered.
