Thing is, regens dont just happen when the car is hot. The car will do a regen after so many miles of running, regardless of the DPF state, so be prepared if she starts smoking heavily, it's likely it will only be that and not a blown engine.

    Just having a laugh.......something I read on a previous thread. I got a s**te sense of humour!

Ive got a 2.2dti siggy design (I gave it a wash today). I might have a go at doing mine. (if its got one) I would probably just drill straigt through 10/12mm if i was going to do it......?
The thing is everything is ok with the car at the mo so would you recomend just to leave well alone and wait till it goes belly up?
I do like the sound of a bit more pull though.

I removed the insides of the dpf to my last cdti, and while on the way to work one night i noticed a bit of smoke, pulled into the works car park and thought i have fu - knackered my car,i parked up and switched it off
Went back out later on,for it to smoke a lot again,so much so that the 100 foot square car park was smothered in smoke
It was then i realised it must be doing a regen, which it was,as it cleared after a while
