Default Went into hospital for my Angiogram yesterday

Well went into hopspital yesterday at 9am for my Angiogram, 1 month after having the heart attack.

I will be honest and say I was pertrified, after this I would know what the outcome of the heart attack was good or bad.

Must say though personally the angiogram hurt like I don't know what, the anaesthesia didn't work to well and I nearly passed out with the pain. I had to be put on a drip and be given oxygen.

But after being in 45minutes for a 20 minute procedure due to some complications. I left the operating/x-ray room in a lot of pain.

3 hours later I was given the results.

I have an artery that should start and end on the left side of my heart instead starts on the right and ends on the left.

The left artery has a slight block in it, which at this time the doctors does not feel the need for stems.

So all in all I need to keep my current diet and fitness up and I will lead a very happy and good life.

However I do need to be careful for the rest of my life and take 5 lots of medcation per day.

Went through the same thing a couple of years ago. No complications for me but the feeling of the last flush through of the dye was strange.

Anyways they operated on me (a leaky heart valve) and I am on 3 tablets a day.

As someone said to me If I was born 100 years ago I would be dead. So thank goodness for modern medicine.

Good luck with the diet and fitness way of life. You do get usded to it..

What caused all the pain? - I had one a few months ago which was all fairly easy. If you had anaesthesia, they must have been putting in something other than dye?

Mine was for kidney arteries and I had look at it with the radiographer afterwards, it's amazingly clever stuff. I've got something similar coming up soon for my heart.

I think it's 'stents' that you might have needed.

The pain around the groin area, I could feel nothing in the chest area, but boy did it hurt me in the groin. Felt like someone kicking me in them, Yes I had anaesthesia but didn't work to well, never does with me, local wise anyway. They called them stems.

But it's over now thankfully. Right now though I have severe brusing around the groin area and it hurts like a ****** I can still hardly walk.
