Default Top speed of the Veccy

Someone wanted to know how fast the Veccy goes. On a closed freeway in West Aus, I got 234 KMH( on GPS), using C31 Fuel (70% 98 Octane, 30% Toluene, brings the Octane rating up to about 109, and I opened up the airbox, to get in lots of air, sounds great too, real rorty) I'll youtube it. I had to get out of the throttle because the left side of the bonnet started to lift up....scary.

Ahhhh, in that case there should be a lot more to be had from it. At least one 3.2gsi hit over 160mph on the german autobahns!

3.2....and I recon there was more in there, but the bonnet looked as though it was going to fly up! It was literaly lifting an inch up on the right side. Toluene in the fuel....so much more power.

I hope you know about this : Toluene also poses similar problems as alcohol fuels, as it eats through standard rubber fuel lines and has no lubricating properties as standard gasoline does, which can break down fuel pumps and cause upper cylinder bore wear.

m8 you have a faulty bonnet catch as I never had that problem when I had my old GSI up at the late 150's.

Opel quote 248/246 km/h for the manual/automatic 3.2 V6 (Z32SE) and 216/210 km/h for the 2.2 non-DI four cylinder (Z22SE). (These are the only two engines available in Australia). I expect these figures would be quoted running on 95 RON petrol.

I wonder if you'd get better results running on 100% petrol?
