Quik fit have offer on £30 if booked online...
Ok to do MOT but don't get them to do work tho.
It's free re test as well.

Took mine to Thompsons at Benton Square near Asda's/Holy Stone--£29.99 and you can wait for it and free retest if needed.They are a big Renault wagon garage--tel 0191 2702960--good lads there.---Dave

Outrams. Great service and had a call only 90 mins after I dropped it off, to go collect it

Cost £45. I tend to stay away from the cheaper ones as they tend to look for work

Ok but everytime i've used Quik take his money fit and they always come up with--your pads and discs need renewing or you will be needing 2 new tyres!!!! I use Tyre-spot in Heaton for my tyres and other bits--top people there and the best thing is that they are honest and that means a lot to me my friend---Dave

Agree with you there Tony--my mate took his to the MOT supermarket place up here and they came back with allsorts of problems--as they say you only get what you pay for!!!----Dave

I agree too about Thompson's Renault on Holystone / Benton industrial estate .

I have taken my Jaguar X Type and Vectra 2.2 Direct there and the most it's ever cost me ( on top of M.O.T. ) was a bulb and a wiper .

Plus 4 other members of my family go there too .

Also , literally , at the other end of the road to Thompson Renault , on the same estate is Box Brothers ( 0191 215 9221 ) .

I have most of my major work done there .... Gear box on a Jag ,,, window regulator on a Vectra ,,,, alternator on a Renault

and never had reason to complain .

There used to be a place i used a few years back in North Shields , near a Skip Hire company that only did M.O.T.'s and no fixing or repairs , so what you fail on , had to be genuine .

Sorry , i can't remember their name or if they are still there , maybe someone else knows their name .
