    Default Poor paint jobs

Ok went over the wife's vec on saturday with the DAS 6.

Down the drivers side of the car, all the way along the top part of the panel, it must have been resprayed (badly), as the paint is not as good as the rest of that side. Also some paint must have come off on to the pad as it had traces of black on the pad whilst using white UC.

I am guessing if I use the DAS6 again, I should avoid these panels?

Will I end up taking all the paint off if I do it again?

Last thing, what sort of price would a decent bodyshop charge per panel?

Ginge are sure the black was,nt tar spots , i would be surprised if you managed to lift paint of a car unless it was put on really thickly , go over the panel with a fine clay first to lift any contaminents from the surface and if it is still rough use a medium grade clay .
I had this with one of the guys cars on here , paintwork looked ok but to the touch was like sandpaper did as above and managed to get 90 percent of roughness out , turned out the car had been in storage for a year under a tree
    Driving vauxhall,s for 30 + years
    and still loving it

Not mate, did a full detail, washed then clayed the whole car. It was only on those panels that it looked as if the pad had taken the paint off, I can tell it has been sprayed by looking at the end result, the rest of the car has a mirror like finish and this is blury to look in to.

Is the black on Vec's was not Metallic or did they come in Solid too?
