Yea I have bought my 3rd fusebox this week, hell bent on a full retrofit myself as I know its been done. Last time I nearly got it, but the fuse box was from a full canbus car and I kept getting the bulb out warnings. This time Ive got one from a 52 plate SXi that had fogs in it so heres hoping. At the moment Mine are fitted with a small switch on the dash and a relay in the battery box that works perfectly well.

Yep that will be my set up too, shame but the factory way sounds a bit of a mare!!!

DasArab mine IS a full canbus car so would your fusebox potentially work on mine??

It should do, it was a late 2004 fusebox with the full can fusebox positions(different to the half can), but I gave it to Signumboy to try to solve his headlight washers issue. If he doesn't need it your welcome to it.

    Looks really cool mate!!

How difficult was it to replace the grill, as I have my badgeless grill on its way.

Really simple Carl, a few screws hold it - a doddle!

I think this is one of the dissapointing things about my base spec Vectra. I have owned 5 saab 9-5s over the years, and they were all pre wired for almost all options, add switches and things just work, or add dimming mirrors etc..... foolishly I thought the Veccy would be the same
Even my previous mk3 mondeo was almost plug n play!. Added front fogs, a new light switch and the wiring from the fogs to a wire/plug that terminated under bonnet and away I went..
