cdti or dti ?

Ok I'm thinking the cdti will be superior to the dti, just so I know am i right in thinking the dti will be pre common rail diesel so sluggish compared to the cdti, and what will the power diffrence be from say 19 cdti 120 to a 2.0dti

looking for a second car and most diesels in my price range are dti's

think the DTIs are about 100 (it was in the astra, not sure about veccy) where as the 120 is 120.

I owned a dti and have driven cdti's and the difference in pickup is vast. the cdtis are far quicker accelerating. I would say the cdti 120 is still quicker than the dti

The 1.9cdti 120 would be closer to the 2.2Dti power wise. Dti not as refined but the reliability isn't that bad. I've had mine for six months and it is a good engine. Hope this helps

thats what I thought but seems has no tax or mot!!

or whatabout 54 reg 1.9 cdti Design estate 64k miles 3,995 tempting but honestly out of my £££ range

if no MOT then I'd avoid personally you could end up spending ££££ when you take it for an MOT and it fails. at least be very careful. Ask him how long it's been sitting because it's not been used if it has no tax/MOT
