    Default custom exhausts gain 14bhp

got a s/s exhaust system, sports cat fitted last week from MIJ performnance in wallsall then got it rolling roaded.
Took bsr ppc put back to standard 187bhp placed on rolling road got 191bhp, remmapped with bsr ppc rerun and got 229bhp dead imppressed.

Still only got 196 on the wheels though, almost got me 200bhp + at the wheels.

Will post pics when the misses brings the car back.

Only down flaw is the noise for the first 500miles load boooaaaar noise inside the car once hits 3000rpm until the baffle carbons up.

Done about 700miles got quiter, have to retune roughly every 250miles until box wears in running amasing know.

Beautifull purr coming out of them on idol, puts subarus do shame, obviously not on bhp though. Gutted.

i'm not surprised.. The VX exhaust is cack for gas flow.. it's designed to meet 'drive-by noise' emmisions ( thats why deisels have undertrays as well BTW) not to give maximum power..

Sounds very good. Be interesting to see how you get on with the MIJ System

Spoons Your Car Looks Nice, Doesn't Look Cheap Though The Mods You've Done. Would It Not Of Been Cheaper To Get A Vxr, Or Did You Want To Be Unique And Be The Only 1 Who Owns The Prestigus Vxr D

I chose not to buy a VXR because I was not impressed with the performance, beleave it or not.. its that simple.

However, if I had of driven the new EDS VXR (340 bhp), I would have snapped the dealers arms off and would be sat in court by now defending my right to own a drivers licence

So.. my little VXRD not only costs less than a VXR, but it looks as good, will handle and brake (when the 6 Pots are fitted) better than a standard VXR and give me 45 mpg.

I'm happy with my decision completely, as I know that I would moan all the time at paying £50-60 for a tank of fuel to only get 100-200 miles out of it !!

Nah... you just have to forget to look at the fuel guage..

TBH, it's a bad week if it's 2 tanks, most weeks i can get by on 1 1/2..

Get 'enthusiastic', and just watch the inst. consumption fall to 4.5 mpg..

Yeah, and you only pay about £1 to £2 Grand a week on yours trying to make it look like a VXR !!

BTW I get around 350-400 miles out of a tank, driving as fast as I can legally...but then again I have been known to go a little less than that

    - suppose you could look at it like that - No argument really is there

When I get the Vectra D when its released, I'm gonna have the VXR version then.. 900 bhp probably (and you will just hear me moaning about the fuel economy, and how I loved my old VXRD so much)
