What do I loose?

I have finally got fedup with lack of Mp3 function on my cdc40 and have started looking for a replacement but.....I like the DAB as I listen to Kiss100 london and I also like the info screen for mpg etc etc. What Id love anyone to help me with is if I replace the head unit more then likely with a double din dvd one will I loose the display, will the cdc40 be any good to anyone without the screen and how much could I get for it roughly ?
Also is the DAB unit built in to headunit or is it seperate? If its seperate can I use standard unit with aftermarket headunit

For the radio to be of any use to anyone is must be unpaired first. DAB is a seperate unit, tucked up someone near the glovebox area i believe and no you would be able to use it with another radio that i know of/

and caraudiosecurity have a few leads it says I need for steering wheel controls. Could anyone tell me what I would need to retain these controls and have full intergration with the car? Also if I change to this is it still possible to retain the standard display with MPG etc??
