oil grade

Hi people could anyone tell me the correct oil grade for my vectra cdti sri. 150 2007

GM5w30 longlife fully synth dexos 2

Has it got to be gm as I have got that grade but its not the gm its fully synthetic though will this be ok

Should be fine...it doesnt have to be GM...my old man runs his CDTi on Mobil 1

If covered under a warranty, must be to GM-LL specification
If warranty expired or no future warranty, then any synthetic oil

However, even if covered under warranty there is virtually no way any dealership can check this (or even bother)
I used to topup using Tesco Synthetic oil just prior to each service

The only time the oil may be fully examined is for a complete engine claim

I will double check tonight when I get from work. Not to be stupid but whats the difference. Does it make a difference that I will do regular oil changes

I think its about the ash content.. The GM Sully synth 5/30 d2 is low ash
