yep you can, but the new screen will need to be "divorced" from the donor car and tech2 to your car

For the price of a screen from Vauxhall, it would be just as cheap to buy a completely matched set-up from ebay. upto approx £500 for a full Colour map set-up.

I have seen facelift CD70 Navi with aux-in capabiity, Colour Screen, aerial, RGB cable and map discs for less than the figure above.

I have also seen dealer screen prices for as much as £1200, although due to being considered an obsolete vehicle, I think this price has now dropped significantly... but not below £500.

I think a standard BID / GID screen is still in excess of £300 from Vauxhall, the CID is a lot more rarer / in-demand and so commands silly money.

If it is just the screen itself, and not the circuit board that is faulty, then you could just swap the screen panel from the donor set-up, and this avoids any Tech 2 divorcing / pairing issues.

Tech 2 programming could vary anywhere between 60 and 120 quid, dependent upon the dealer in question.

I managed to get a paired colour screen, CD70 Navi head unit and RGB cable all for £275 on eBay. Just a straight swop out as it was paired. There are some bargains out there

My point exactly...

For the price of a screen, you can get a FULL set-up.

You rarely find colour (map) screens for sale by themselves.

GID's pop up now and again... I bought one for my CD70 for £16 a couple of years ago.
(To replace a faulty pixellated screen - as described above, I just swapped the LED and LCD panels and retained the original circuit board to fix my existing display).
